See those black records on my Audio Submissions? That means those don't need reviews, I've moved way past those in skill. Try and reivew the first two or three songs please ;D

I want to remix API's Fabricate

Posted by New-Milkman - October 8th, 2008

API - Fabricate

It's such a short loop, I want to see if I can get around to finishing a half-decent remix of the song using original clips of the reese, and maybe some different drums, but I'm a little too lazy to actually get working on it as fast as I can.

So far, all I've done is some pitchbending to the bass he has in there because I want to see if I can hold on to the main "idea" of the song, while still using samples of the reese from the original. I'm hoping that I can get enough work done on this to release a 2 minute track or something.

And if it doesn't work out, I've got 2 or 3 other project files that might sound cool after they're done; as well as a half-decent drum 'n bass drum line to work with for a project.

WWOOOAAHH THEEEERRRRRREEEE. Don't you dare sample someone else's reese. If there's one thing I know api would get mad about, it's that.

:O
:(

Check api's review

If he's talking about the second half with the full reese and everything, that's pretty much a blatant rip from the song (I recognize that reese from Noisia's Messiah remix anytime, I had to listen to Vanishing Point to remember that other one though). I'm doing whatever to it to mix it up a bit, and hopefully adding my own bit of stuff to it.

But I'm probably not going to finish this, as always.

We'll I'd get mad at it :S

Reese: Two sawtooth oswilators, distortion, automate pitch bends. Filters.

Not knowing the ingredients isn't my problem, is the cooking of those ingredients. (And I love that reese in Fabricate, and I'd hate to have to reverse engineer a bunch of stuff when I know it wouldn't turn as good as I want.)

But if you look at my submissions, I guess you can't tell because I don't submit like I should / want to.
