Interesting mix, deadly drums, little off key.

I really don't like that intro you have there. It sound really off key, and seems to just randomly jump around everywhere. I would suggest a slower and more rythmic approach to that.

After that pad thing, those drums got crazy, and it was pretty cool! But that transition from the jungle to trance at about 2:00 was pretty weak. It's sort of wierd to have the drums just suddenly just stop, with a slpw intro to trance. It sounds like you just put together some random two songs that way, so you should try to stay away from that.

And the ending goes back to what, to me, sounds like some off key and bad sounding notes. :(

Overall, nice try but there is plenty of room for improvement.

Klasmus responds:

Meh. I added major delay to the intro. And the transition was extremely hard to master for this song, cuz the synth I was using was difficult to deal with, and if i faded the drums down, as the synth went up, it didn't sound right. Well im in the making of the sequal of this song, so ill hope it sounds better. Thx for your thoughts.

Damn noise... wait :D

In the beginning, I honestly thought this was going to be 3 minutes of straight noise. But then some drums came in, and when the acoustic stuff came into play, I started to write this review, because it was that awesome. To me, that bassline thing is a little weak, and in my opinion could have used a bit more "power" to it. And that ending was really weak, you probably could have at least ended this with a bit more of a breakdown, or with some of that awesome guitar.

Seriously, that guitar made this song stand out. You should use it in more songs.

Reali-tGlitch responds:

Thanks. Ill be sure to mix things up a little next time I make some trance.

Demo noise, >x(

I can tell your using a demo version of something, which isn't a good thing. And I think your snares need a bit of reverb or something, it doesn't sound right to me, especially at the end. But other than that, I think this is a pretty good trance song.

A few problems

I think that lead you have would be nice for the minute or so intro, but I think it just sounds a little too quiet throughout the song. And personally, I think there are just way too many reverse crashes in here. It's one of the weakest transitions in the world, and didn't sound that great (or maybe I'm just using FL too much while I'm writing this). And that really high sounding synth thing that came in once in a while was kinda cool, exept I think you used that a little too much too. Using it too much just hurts my ears a bit :(

On the other hand, I think you have a good beat going here. Whatever happened at 2:45 was really messed up, and not in a good way. Makes me think of dblue_glitch, and shouldn't really be used a lot in anything other than the hardcore end of things (unless you really know what your doing with it.) And that snare that comes in at the end sounds off. But overall I think this was a decent attempt at Goa, but maybe add a bit more reverb or something. First time I heard them I thought they sounded a little off.

LOL AWESOME!

Hahahaha, that was awesome dude! I was fucking hilarious! Too bad you couldn't get it in before Christmas. I only wish you could get a bit more clear of a recording, and maybe a bit longer.

nieth666 responds:

thank you im glade you like it were currently recording using an 8 track digi in my living room and we did it in one shot we had a longer version fleshed out with more music same lyrics and it just didnt feel right

Repetivie with weak transitions

Ok, so the synth is pretty decent. Actually I sorta like it! But this gets really repetivive after a while, it would have been nice to see some diversity once in a while. Oh, and you shouldn't use fade-out's that much, it doesn't do anything to make the song any better, and is just a plain weak transition. Throw a little more diversity, and you might be really happy with a song ;)

Really calm, does it's job

So I'm actually up late at night, and I decide to hit up some ambient stuff to listen to while doing homework. This is just really calming, and it was a nice change to listen to, compared to DnB and stuff. I have nothing bad to say about this, I'm really tired, and I've got stuff I've got to do. This song does what it's "supposed to do".

A nice 5 + 10.

Rig responds:

Good to hear, man. Thanks for the support, glad it helped you out.

Bit repetitive, but still sounds great!

It was awesome, but I think you are lacking a few things for me to favorite this. Personally, I think you should have a bit more of a progression, instead of having just the melody without the drums and everything. And after a while, it gets a bit repetitive for a 1:35 song. Mix it up a little more, I think you could probably do a lot more with this track.

And secondly, the outro was more than just weak. It just sort of ended., and I think that endings should be pretty gradual. But what you do have here is just wonderful. Awesome beat, and pretty fast paced. If you worked hard on an extended mix, I'm sure it would be awesome!

Nice beat, but sound "generic"

I don't know what genre this should be, maybe techno. It's pretty generic, but that's the only way I think you could call it.

I really like the beat on this one, but I think that you maybe should have used a different snare, it sounded a little too "soft" most of the time to me. But I've been proven wrong a few times about switching things like that :\

And as much as I like the beat, it still kinda sounds generic. So I think you could have gone a lot longer than 1:37 , with some more variations and stuff. And the ending came a little sounding, and I think that you could have used something that sounds a little different. Sounded too video-game-ish to me, compared to the rest of the song. But the "game over" at the end was a nice little touch I think, but maybe you could have done a little more with it, like echoes or something.

Overall I think it was nicely done, but maybe a little short and a little generic sounding for my taste.

ElectroLord99 responds:

wuts generic? i dun know wut that is... lol i was just messin around with FL Keys, and found this melody. i then changed the instrument, and ya... i wanted to make the ending that way tho. i like it xD thx 4 the review man!

Sorta different, but really well done.

I really like the wind instruments you used, I don't hear those too often and I think they sounded perfect here. I think you might have been able to make them just a little bit louder though, at the end I think it sounded a bit buried under everything else. And I think the piano from 1:53 to 2:09 sounded a little bit off, compared to how it is from how you use it in the rest of the song.

But those are just minor things I think, because I haven't heard something like this submitted in a long time, and I think you did it really good.

See those black records on my Audio Submissions? That means those don't need reviews, I've moved way past those in skill. Try and reivew the first two or three songs please ;D
