Nice Mellow track

This is a relaxing little track, but I think that that some stuff could have been taken out, or changed up quite a bit. That thing that came up from 0:44 to 1:19 didn't really seem to fit, and made the song a little less enjoyable to listen to. And the guitar thing for at 3:25 to 4:00 was really cool, with a good melody, but something about it just didn't seem to fit. I think it just sounds a little too "sharp". Sorry that's the best I can describe it. :\

Overall, this is really good!

Thanks for the review.
I put the distorted bits in to add contast and energy to the track, so it would sound less like a song made out of loops (which is what it is). Also, the guitar sounds a little off to me, too, but hey...
Anyway, thanks for your kind and candid review.

Sounds great!

This is a really good 8-bit-ish track. I like the fast paced-ness of it, because the drums were just perfect. And that synth is... 8-bit, not much I can say about that. :P

There's a great melody going, but the synth sometimes just seemed a little annoying, but that could be just because I don't listen to VG music a whole lot. Overall, very well done!

King-Kill-33 responds:

VG Music has to be annoying =D
Well yeah it kinda gets annoying but on the other hand that was half intentional.

Really short

This is a really short loop, but because this isn't the full song yet, I think this could be a pretty sweet song. Untill then though, 5/10, 2/5. 11 seconds is just way to short...

Kid2Will responds:

Oh im more than half way done with the song. I just like to throw out a teaser.

Off pitch...

I think that the synths and the melody were a bit off pitch, but I think you may have something hear, because the drum beat is awesome. Maybe try to make them not so high sounding, and this would be a really good track.

Sounds funnah!

Sort of a random sounding thing, but sounds somewhat cool. And funnah (that's a big one). Not much to say about this one, but I might have to try something like this :)

Grillpie responds:

Told New-Milkman what I thought of his review.

Needs EQ

As you've been told twice already, it needs to be mastered better. Also, the part from 2:20 to 2:32 just didn't seem to flow that great, to me it seemed a little too "clippy".

Not really bad to say, this is a good Classical and DnB mix!

monochromatic responds:

Actually, I've been told "thrice" now about the mastering. Personally I like the part from 2:20 to 2:32, which is why its in there. I did that to point out that there were violins in the next part and to make the song longer. I'm not so sure what you mean by "clippy," but whatever. Glad you liked the song anyways.

MOAR DRUMZ!

I agree with the guy below me, toss in drums we can hear, but you say that there should be some more coming in later. So it settled! I'll wait to hear the full version, it sounds like a great remix!

Bandwith responds:

Yeah, this part like I said is sort of a dramatic drop, slowly rising into the drum n bass part.
In the full version the actual He's a Pirate piece comes in at exactly 1:00, so you can tell it's a long one.

Pretty good

This is a pretty good song, just some things I didn't like very much. IMO, you didn't need to pan the crashes at all. And it might be just me, but melody just sounds... a little too sharp, just a little bit.

You had a nice melody though, I think everything else sounded great, especially the electronic part that comes in at 0:58.

A song?

Ahahaha, that's funnah, to a small degree! (lol, sounds like a sex pun)

Pretty cool

This has a pretty cool beat to it, it's sort of like something you'd hear in a video game (like a city that is in the sky or something). Problems are that the first 50 seconds seem to drag on a little longer than I think it should. And it's a bit repetitive, but i think you've got what would make a long but pretty cool loop.

I like how the melody sounds with the drums though, they contrast each other pretty good. Not much else I can say, nice track.

Nav responds:

Thanks man!

Hmm... yeah, but you need a bit of suspense before you introduce the drums...

It is a bit repetitive, but I just wanted to see how far I could take a single melody!

Thanks for the review, I'll check out your stuff if I have time (and I should).

See those black records on my Audio Submissions? That means those don't need reviews, I've moved way past those in skill. Try and reivew the first two or three songs please ;D
